These drawings are selected from my drawing series ‘Lovely Birds’. The original image of the little bird came from a tiny red bird... she loves a starfruit tree outside my home studio and visits frequently. I think she has her own life as you and me... The original drawings are done by charcoal pencil on light artistic Chinese painting paper with neutral shade originally. The rough and imperfect surfaces match well with the strokes unexpectedly.
